It's been awhile since I remember having a hot summer, I believe this is one of the hottest summers so far in CT.  I am usually the one complaining it's still cool but this time I am looking for cool spots... How are you staying cool?

I want to share some ways you can beat the heat this summer even when you're having hot flashes, or night sweats.
When the temperature rises, having the right essential oils on hand can make all the difference. My go-to oils are Peppermint and Clarity, both from Young Living. Just a few deep inhales of Peppermint instantly refresh and cool me down, thanks to its invigorating menthol aroma. Clarity, on the other hand, not only helps me stay cool but also sharpens my focus and lifts my spirits during those sweltering days.

I stay hydrated with  cucumber  lemon water, or coconut water for it's ability to replenish electrolytes that your body releases when you sweat.

If you are dealing with perimenopause or menopause you may be sweating no matter what the temperature is.
Balancing hormones naturally can be helpful. It involve various lifestyle changes, dietary adjustments, and holistic practices.

During the next few weeks I will share with you some strategies to help beat the heat:

Diet and Nutrition :

  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Adding a splash of lemon or cucumber can make it more refreshing creates better cell absorption .
  • Eat Healthy Fats: Incorporate sources of healthy fats such as avocados, nuts, seeds, and olive oil. Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil and flaxseed oil can also support hormone balance.
  • Limit Sugar and Refined Carbs: Reducing sugar intake and avoiding refined carbs can help maintain stable blood sugar levels, which is crucial for hormone balance.
  •  Eat Plenty of Fiber: High-fiber foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains help regulate insulin levels and support digestive health, which can impact hormone levels.
  •  Include Phytoestrogens: Foods like  flaxseeds, and legumes contain phytoestrogens, which can help balance estrogen levels.

Hot flashes can be a challenging part of life, but essential oils from Young Living can also offer natural support to help support relief and balance.
